Leeds Haul: Liz Earle, Chanel, MAC, Harvey Nichols, Urban Outfitters and More!

I went shopping in Leeds on Friday with my mum for my birthday and this is what i bought :)

Liz Earle

Me and my mum split this because we can share it, but she let me have to moisturizer since i'm running out :)

We go the summer skincare essentials kit £41

From left to right:

Body Wash (15ml free gift, they always give a free gift out with any
Liz Earle purchase, which i think is quite nice as this costs around £4 usually), Two Muslin Cloths,

Skin repair light moisturiser (50ml), Cleanse and Polish (100ml), Instant Boost skin tonic (200ml). These three were what you were paying for really.

Then you get some travel sizes and a bag for free, Instant Boost skin tonic spritzer (30ml), Skin repair moisturiser dry/sensitive (15ml), superbalm (5g) and hand repair (15ml).

With this kit, you can also choose if you want the full size instant boost skin tonic in the spritzer or the normal bottle, and you can choose your full sized moisturiser based on your skin type.

I actually bough this before leeds because i put it on hold at boots just in case it ran out, but i though i'd include it in here.

New GHD's - Midnight Collection

I spoke about this in my birthday haul and said i'd do a separate post as the packaging is so nice!

So that's my GHD set that i got for my birthday, I'm in love with the packaging.. and everything that comes inside it of course! :)

Yankee Candles

i changed my room around slightly recently, so it looks a lot less 'cluttered' and a bit more 'candle safe' haha, i love the smell of yankee candles, they're pretty strong so you can smell it when you instantly walk into my room :)

I got a burner, which uses a block of wax in the top, and a plain tea-light underneath, then the wax melts on top and sends the smell into the air. The other one is just a normal fragranced candle :)

Naked Palette!

Been wanting this for absolutely ages from seeing everyone on youtube rave about it, and its lived up to it's hype, its absolutely amazing! I tried it out today and was very impressed :) I'm sure you've all seen it but if you want a better look Temptalia's Blog has a great post on it! :)

Starting from the inner corner, i used, Sin, Sidecar, Toasted and Hustle in the crease/socket, i used a bit of Creep and Hustle smudged together in my lower lash line, which isn't too visible in this picture, sorry!

i have the worst habit of biting my nails, they're so short its embarrassing, haha! So in my attempt to grow them, my mum got me two sets by Leighton Denny. One is a crystal nail file set, and the other is a manicure set.

One of Leighton Denny's designs - the box is made so you can use it as a sort of table, all the polishes, miracle drops and nail varnish remover have holes, so you can stand the bottles up right, handy if you use it while travelling (in a car or train etc)

 So that's it :) i got a lot of money as well, because me and my mum are going to Leeds on Friday to go shopping, which will be exciting, i'll probably do a post on what i bought when i get back. I bought Chanel Bronze Universel/Soleil Tan De Chanel today and some black wedge boots, so i'll include them in the post about Leeds :)

Haul: Topshop, Bodycare, MAC :)

I went shopping today and bought some things that i love so i thought I'd do a blog post about them :)

TOPSHOP

Topshop have got a huge sale on a lot of their Freedom jewellery line, and since i love topshop jewellery i decided to look around and i picked up some bargains :)

Silver detailed ring with turquoise stone.. its actually a shimmery turquoise which is pretty. I've been looking for a ring like this for ages, so i had to get it, i already have one similar but its gold instead of silver and its a bit bulky. £2.50

I thought this was quite cute, and they have loads of little bracelets like this in the sale. Its a flowers patterned material bracelet with an adjustable clasp, and a little diamanté skull head. £1.50

I'm in love with these! They come as a set of three, and also came in black, blue and red, but i liked the colour of these better, i think they have the same little charms on them though. I've seen ThePersianBabe on Youtube wear bracelets like this, there's a name for them but i forgot it. they're really thin string bracelets with tiny charms on. I can see me wearing these a lot, i think they're really pretty and add a tiny bit of colour to an outfit. £1.50 for set of three.

For some reason, whenever i see something with a cross on, i instantly pick it up, so i had to get this. They come in a set of two but you can wear them separately just like the ones above. I think they just add a little something to an outfit, I've wanted a cross bracelet for a while now as well. £2.50 for set of two.

Came to £8 altogether but i got student discount so it ended up being £7.20.. even more of a bargain!

W7 Tights in a Tin. I wrote about this in my June Favourites. £2.99

St Moriz Dark, i have the normal St Moriz but i've heard that the dark one is equivalent to 2 applications of the normal one, so not only does it give you a better colour but the bottle lasts longer because you don't use as much! I really want to try their lotion as well, which can also be found in bodycare. £2.99

MAC

Mac Lipstick in Impassioned. Mac have a service called 'Back to Mac' where you take in six empty Mac pots, whether its foundation, concealer, mascara etc, and you get a free lipstick. I've done this once before and was happy knowing i hadn't spent £13.50 but got a gorgeous lipstick, this time i wanted a bright lipstick, so it was between Girl About Town which is more of a purple toned bright pink (I've heard Cheryl Cole uses it) and Impassioned. In the end i went for impassioned because i thought it would suit me more. Its a bright pink but more red-toned than Girl about town. Can't wait to wear it properly! Retails at £13.50

I got some really good stuff, and altogether it came to under £15, bargain! :)

June Favourites!

Hello, sorry i haven't posted in a week or so, for some reason my camera isn't letting me put any photos on the computer, and its still not but i didn't want to wait much longer to do my june favourites, so i'm going to do them using pictures off google, so sorry about that.

I have a lot of favourites this month, i've been trying out some new things or coming back to products that i already had and realising how much i love them again.

There's also some non-beauty related things.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation- i love this foundation , its dewy looking but doesn't feel greasy or oily, i never feel the need to powder it beause i love the finish i get, its very lightweight on the face, its just a great everday foundation, perfect for summer since its dewy and lightweight. You can buy it here.

W7 tight in a tin and Sally Hansen airbrush legs - i thought i'd compare these two, they pretty much do the exact same thing, give you a lovely colour and make your skin look flawless. I prefer the w7 one purely because it doesnt havent any shimmer, or not that i notice anyway, its great as an instant tan or to cover any flaws, the sally hansen one on the other hand has a lot of shimmer in it since they recently changed the formula, its lovely for night time but in the sun it doesn't look too great, i feel like a discoball! They are both sprays and i would recommend rubbing it in slightly with a fake tan mitt or glove to make it more even. You can find the Sally Hansen one here. I got my W7 one from Atkinsons in Sheffield, but i'm not sure where else you can find it, i'm sure if you google it, you'll find it.

Topshop Blusher in Head Over Heels - I love the topshop blushers as a whole, they are gorgeous blushers and they have a nice range of natural and bright colours, they are £6 and i can only seem to find them in larger topshops rather than little ones, but that might just be on my city. I have the colours neon rose which is a bright reddish pink, and head over heels which is a light peachy coral, i love them both but i've been using head over heels more in june. They are a cream to powder finish but look dewy on the skin. I really want to pick up 'Nutmeg'. You can buy it here.

Garnier Summer Body - This is a lovely gradual tan, so far from using it, i have had no streaks, it smells gorgeous and is the only fake tan i've found that doesn't smell like a fake tan, it has more of an apricot smell which is lovely. It gives a lovely brown colour on my skin and i am very pale, i went for the darker one which is Deep Sunkissed Look rather than the light because lighter gradual tans never really work on my skin. MAC 188 Brush - i love this brush, i have found multiple uses for it, i've had it since christmas and used it every single day without fail. I've used it for foundation (liquid, cream and powder), finishing powders, blushers (cream and powder), contour powders, bronzers, liquid and powder highlights. Its just a great multi-use brush and i think everyone should own it, its a smaller version of the 187, which i also have but i use that more for foundation and powders. You can get it here.

Liz Earle - my mum has been using liz earle for absolutely years, and she got me into it around 2-3 years ago, i've been using the instant boost skin tonic and the cleanse and polish constantly this month. I can't express how much i love the liz earle range, they clear my skin and i'd recommend it to everyone. You can find it on the the liz earle website, qvc website or in john lewis.

Jemma Kidd Lip gloss - i'm not going to say too much about this, but i wrote a post recently about these lip glosses since i got them free in Red magazine, you can see the swatches on there, i love them. Click here to see my blog post about them and here if you want to buy them, i'm not sure if they are still in Red magazine now, but you could check.

MAC Lady Gaga Lipstick - i love mac lipsticks. i think this was my first mac lipstick, and after buying it i thought it didn't suit my lips, but this month it seemed to work really well with either of the jemma kidd lip glosses on top. I don't know whether this was limited edition, has been discontinued or has run out but i can't seem to find it on the mac website, sorry! 

St Tropez Everyday Gradual Tan - I have this in Medium/dark and its such a nice tanner, on the back of the bottle it tells you not to worry about going over the same place twice, since it won't streak as long as you cover everywhere, it'll all be the same colour underneath. Its a gorgeous tan and gives me a natural colour, perfect for summer as it doesnt streak if you go in the sea/have a waterfight etc! You can get this in a few places, such as Debenhams, Asos, Boots, Superdrug and other places. 

Panoxyl 2.5% aquagel - This have saved my life! everytime i get a spot i know i can rely on this to reduce/clear it over night. I wouldn't buy it in a stronger percent as i know it would dry out my skin a lot, this ones dries it out ever so slightly, but its also helped get rid of a lot of oily-ness in my t-zone which i'm not complaining about! :) If it does dry out my skin too much its nothing a little moisturiser can't solve! You can get it for around £3 over a chemist counter. I got mine from the chemist in boots. So much more effective and cheaper than 'miracle' spot treatments. This is the best thing i've ever used for spots.

MAC Satin Taupe eyeshadow - love this eyeshadow, i can use it effortlessly all over the lid and then build it up in the crease for a more dramatic effect, a must-have eyeshadow for any neutral smokey eye lover! You can get it here

Tresemme Dry Shampoo - I have both the foam version and the spray version, and i don't know why they call the foam one a 'dry shampoo' because although you don't have to phsically get in the shower to use it, i still feel the need to use a haridryer after. Its good and pretty much the same effect but i prefer the spray one, leaves my hair looking and feeling very clean and fresh, smells lovely too. You can find it here

VO5's Pink range - Vo5 have recently brought out a new range, its all in pink bottles and i have been loving it, they have some amazing things, the things that i have from the range are the Heat Protectant, Give Me Texture tousled style spray, Give Me Texture instant oomph powder, Miracle Mist, Plump it up weightless mousse, Ultimate hold weather resistant hairspray and the give me moisture shampoo and conditioner.All these products are amazing, i'm aboslutely in love with them and i'd love to try out more of the range. You can see the full range of shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and treatments on the VO5 website. I really want to try the miracle concentrate! For some reason i can't find it on the boots or superdrug websites, but it is definitely in stores! 

Television and Movies - I've been loving watching Friends, The Apprentice and Waterloo road. I could watch friends all day, they never get old, Chandler, Phoebe and Ross are my favourites.. PIVOT! The apprentice has got me hooked this series and i really want Helen or Jim to win! Waterloo Road has always been one of my favourite programmes, even though a school would never have that much drama everyday, i love it! Also watched Life as we know it recently, i wanted to see it in the cinema but never got round to it, such a good film, had my laughing and crying! loved it!

I've been watching harry potter so much recently, i've always been a massive fan of harry potter, its my favourite film by far, seriously cannot wait for the 15th July, i'm a bit of a harry potter nerd. I'm so excited to see the last one but also don't want to end, as sad as it might sound i know for a fact tears will be streaming as i leave the cinema :(

So that's everything! Sorry for such a long post with lots of writing! I'm thinking about starting a youtube channel as stuff like this would be a lot easier to do, but i'm not too sure about that yet :)
